"How to LIVE Your Life to the FULLest!"
One of the most frequent questions I receive from people who attend one of my speaking engagements is, “How are you living?” As a matter of fact, I just opened my email and there is was again; the same question from a past attendee, “How are you living - NOW?”
My answer has been the same for quite some time; “Saved, Single and Satisfied!” One of my recent attendees pressed me for a further explanation of my answer. So I said that I was living my life to the fullest!
During almost every speech I give, no matter who I am speaking to, I always make this statement: “Life is simple, but doing the things to live a simple life is where most people develop a problem!”
Honestly, even though life has its ups and downs, its mountains and its valleys, its sunny days and its cloudy days; it is still fairly, very simple.
Perception is the key!
People usually complicate their own life; primary by trying to impress other people. I learned a long time ago that the fastest way to fail miserably in life is to try to impress everyone.
Living life to the fullest does not necessary mean complicating your life. It simply means doing all the things you were created to do and enjoying yourself in the process.
The bible makes a bold statement about living life to the fullest. John 10:10 says, “The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.”
Now this statement does NOT mean that you are guaranteed to have a big house, a fancy car, or millions of dollars. This simply means that the quality of your life will be much more useful and valuable in Jesus Christ.
A FULL life is generally not a life cluttered with vast amounts of material possessions.
A FULL life is more so a life that is used to serve people through your gifts, talents and resources.
That is the key to having a full life; using your life to serve others. Generally people are remembered most for the contributions they give to others. Think about it, Oprah is admired most for the numerous contributions she makes to other people. Although she is gifted and talented at what she does, her popularity soars because of how she gives and uses her influence to improve the quality of life of other people.
I encourage you to LIVE Your Life to the FULLest!
I was reading a statement about an author who wants his tombstone to read:
“Empty – All used up!”
I, personally, want the same. I encourage you to also desire that for yourself. Live your life so that when it ends you will have nothing else to give. Fully live so that all of the gifts, talents and resources instilled in you are completely given to make valuable contributions to the world.
You were created for a unique purpose. Find out what that purpose is and live it to the FULLest!
