"What's Your Plan?"
A few days after the New Year several members of my professional advisory team sent me requests for my yearly goals & plans.
First, my marketing advisor wanted to know my plans for accomplishing the mission of “Keeping the Faith” multi-media endeavors. He wanted to know my specific vision for the new web site www.keepingthefaithministries.org. He also inquired about the goals for accomplishing my mission of reaching the entire world, every day, with biblical, faith-building principles.
Second, my financial advisor sent a request for my goals for the 2004 budget. He then requested my plans of increasing “Keeping the Faith” giving to other worthwhile endeavors.
My physical fitness trainer then sent a request of my goals of sculpting and shaping my body to build endurance and increase energy to do all the things that God predestined for me.
My spiritual advisor also got into the goal requesting mode. He wanted to know what I was planning for growing in my relationship with God. Plus, he inquired of what other plans I had to increase my efforts in sharing the glorious “Good News” of Jesus Christ with others.
Each of my advisors realizes the importance of goal setting and developing plans. Goal setting and developing plans keeps you focused and on task. Without them you are like an architect trying to build a building without blueprints. Living your life without goals and plans is like driving in a new city without a road map.
It has been said, “The best way to get to nowhere is to go without a plan.”
In this New Year, I challenge you to develop some plans and goals to accomplish something meaningful and significant with your life.
One of my plans for the New Year is to dedicate my written articles to giving you more specific tools, ideas, principles and strategies to living a more productive life pleasing to God.
I firmly believe goal setting is an important tool to bringing direction, focus and clarity in our lives. Without goals, we are like a ship without a sail, a plane flying without wings, and an orchestra playing without a conductor.
I believe if you will make a dedicated decision and a firm commitment to setting goals and developing plans in this New Year, you will do, be and have more in 2004!
